Has the Special One become less special?
Abramovich wants a yes-man in the hot seat. Jose was not that man.
Word is that Roman is going to make a move for Guus Hiddink in '08 after the Euro Championships and wants a tame makeweight in the meantime. Avram Grant has no track record to speak of. He managed some teams to the Israeli league title (wow), missed out on World Cup qualification with the national team and then became Director of Football at the armpit of the south coast that is Portsmouth. Hardly a top-drawer resume.
I can't see how the top players are going to respect a guy like that. Lamps to Barcelona?
Follow up for the Magic 8 ball...
Does Mourinho go anywhere else but a big club?
Jol out at Tottenham with Mourinho taking over?
Some are saying that after managing Chelsea there are only a handful of clubs big enough for Mourinho (AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barca, Real Madrid, Man U) but I reckon Mourinho has never been a big club manager. He's intolerant of the bullshit and interfering that usually comes from board level at big clubs and if you examine his record of success at Porto, it stems from building a team with relatively little resources at his disposal. He likes a 4-3-3 formation, something that was upset by Abramovich's forced purchases of Ballack and Shevchenko.
I'd like to see him go to a mid-table club and work his magic there. Maybe a Sampdoria, a Deportivo or a Tottenham. ;)
Just looked at the table and I'm shocked...what the hell are West Ham doing all the way up there!? Amazing.
I would have said Curbishly should make way for the Special One, but maybe not.
He should go to Tottenham - it would be a shame to lose his press conference ability to Europe..... "supermarkets, they sell eggs, class 1, class 2, class 3 and some are better than others, some more expensive, and some give you better omlettes."
So sweet, knocked out by Rosenborg.
Hmmm...that would be interesting for Mourinho to end up at Tottenham, although I think that it is unlikely. Hasn't he always been linked, in more recent rumors, to clubs in Italy?
At any rate, Chelsea is in utter termoil, and I couldn't be more pleased.
Go Red Devils!!!
See how bitter wearing man u gear gets you?
