We tented once at a place like this north of Santa Cruz. For the people roughing it in their own tents they had comfort stations with an outdoor fireplace and very posh bath/shower rooms. They brought the wood and started the fire for you. And we got access to the hot-tub in the hotel. I dug it. Tent camping was 30 bucks. They had luxury tents that ranged from 100 to maybe 300.
I vomited here:

Ya ya ya. that place is like two miles from my parents house. If you ask me....only a dumbass would pay ANY money to stay there. With exception to the blackfoot river (which is accsessible to the public for free!) its not an amazing destination by any means. The scenery is no more amazing than your typical low elevation river valley with no large mountains (just bumps) and a ton of super dry and heavily logged lodgepole pine. Oooooh! (not)

The Yosemite High Sierra camps have offered "luxury" camping since the 1910s. The Tent Cabins in the valley longer.
Not quite sure why people who know what they like and don't like are arrogant. I've heard RV owners complain about tenting :rolleyes:
I've stayed in the backcountry camps and tent cabins near Curry village, and a hot shower two days in is def a luxury, but not comparable to Glamping.Quote:

granted it would not suck to go 'glamping' as it were, it just defeats the whole purpose of camping/backpacking which to escape civilization. having everything you normally have when you are at home when "camping" isn't camping.

Paws Up, what a bunch of arrogant fucktards. Missoula County has issued multiple cease and desist orders there because they are in violation DEQ requirements, are operating without requisite permits, and in general just being douchebags and bad members of the community.
What a surprise that rich assholes go there. And Sean is right, the Blackfoot Valley is pretty fucking weak as far as Montana scenery goes. Fuck the Paws Up.
