BSP of Kayak TR: Upper Cherry Creek

This is a thread for blatant self promotion of a TR posted in the kayak forum about Upper Cherry Creek. Behold the epic saga involving huge waterfalls, killer slides, and phenomenal scenery.

Well, it isn't skiing, but in the first photo of the TR, there is snow in the mountains in the background, really there is. And just think of the backcountry potential of this place located north of Tuolumne Meadows and east of Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. The west Branch of Upper Cherry starts near the parking lot of Dodge Ridge.

Well, let's really make this a ski related thread anyway. How many people here have skied at Dodge Ridge?

The most embarrassing thing I remember happening to me at Dodge Ridge was during an annual middle school ski trip. I planned to be good and take a shower that night, so I placed my towel and clothes in the upstairs bathroom. There were so many kids in our cabin that I hung out with them downstairs. About an hour later, all the kids are laughing at me playing 52 pick up because some of the girls had gone into the bathroom and hucked my clothes and underwear onto the driveway. :o
