Screw salomon bindings in the ass w/a wire brush

So I demoed a pair of 175cm Pocket Rockets at Killington to compare the to my 185cm Armada ARV's, mostly because I had a free demo. Maybe I'll talk about the skis later, but I want to rant about the f'ing bindings. They has some Salomon 912Ti demos on them, and I hadn't skied my Darksides in a while (which have the same bindings), and I guess I got spoiled on Looks and Rossi's. I ski most of my bindings on a 8-9 DIN, but with the 921Ti's on 8.5, I prereleased 3 f'ing times. Twice this resulted in injury or near injury. After a 10-15ft. rock drop to a pretty much flat landing, I got tossed by one of the bindings and bruised my big toe real bad, it's black and blue and green right now. Later in the day, I'm moving real fast in some heavy crud, hit some deep stuff, get off balance, and the f'ing toe piece decides to just let go, sending me into an outrageous cartwheel...So, to sumarize, screw Salomon bindings.

More likely a result of a lack of forward pressure due to the shitty demo bindings. I'd point fingers at them first, regardless of brand.

Salomon 912s = garbage.

Salomon 912 demos, towards the end of the year on what is most likely a very popular demo ski = death trap.

I had some of those binders a few years ago, as a result of a mislabeled box at a ski swap...I consider myself lucky to be alive.

Yeah, I guess that things like the 914's and 900's with more serious construction might be better, but I don't know for sure. As far as the demo bindings, I couldn't believe that the 912 Ti demo binders have just a little switch mounted on a spring to slide the toe piece. The Look Pivot 12 Ti demo binders that came on my Armadas have a much much beefier locking switch setup.

Yep, I think that's what it's called, under the chair from bear base area to skye peak. It was way stomped out, a flat landing of pretty much packed snow...

no, that one's not bear ass but i know which one you're talking about...i hit that one last week to help stmp it down for ya...you're lucky you didn't hit that sharp spear of a rock because of those bindings...that would be a bad thing.

I had a pretty ill time in patty's this week, plenty of untracked, up to my knees in places...definetly some of the best east coast conditions I've seen. Also found a good sized kicker on the power lines next to highline right before the killington base, oh yeah, that was the third time I ate shit from the crappy bindings.

nope, tuesday and wednesday. I made a point to stomp (or at least try) everything i've seen at killington over the years. reason being, this was probably my last trip there for a while, as I'll be relocation to Tahoe in less than 2 months.
