A Strange Request
Send me your spare headset (stem) caps. That is my request.
I'm working on a little project, and I need some used 1 1/8" caps. I've gotten a few from local shops, but they obviously have a limited number of the things rolling around in their junk drawers.
I'd rather use used caps for this project to be nicer the environment and to my wallet. I'll post pics of said project soon. (Some of you have already seen a few examples.) Sorry to be vague, I'm trying to get a few more examples together right now.
What I can use:
1 1/8" headset caps (you can send 1" if you want, but not too many, please).
They can be engraved, painted, chipped, scuffed, scratched, etc.
I can't use plastic ones or the Chris King kind with two types of metal and the ridge through the middle.
If you have some caps for me, send me a PM and I'll send you my address. If you'd like me to send one back all pretty-fied, be sure to include a return address.
Thank you!

A'ight, here are some pics of "the project": http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...albumId=866190
They look a tad better in real life--I've never tried to photograph shiny things before. It's hard.
For those who don't MySpace, here's a sampler:

I might have a few.... I'll take a look around.

are those vibration-dampening semi-precious stones?

Yeah, and their 4x lighter than titanium

I had great hopes that this was going to be another cover-your-girlfriend-or-spouse-in-gear-while-she's-naked-and-take-pics-with-the-important-parts-covered thread.

WTF! Did you get a new bedazzler?

The comercials were just so enchanting--I had to try it.
And Bio, I'm sure this could turn into that. The caps are the right shape to cover a few things...
