Summer in the SE sucks

There was 1.25" of rain in an hour in the watershed of a local creek. Decided to head up after work to try to get a run in before dark. A friend called as we were pulling out to say it hadn't risen ANY.

Its so dry that 1.25" of rain in an hour had pretty much no effect on the creek. Trees drank it all.

Anymore storms like yesterday and I won't have any trees left to drink the water. I just got done cutting up one from the weekend and get to start on another today from yesterdays storm. We really need the rain though so I will not complain.
