Gameplan: Hiking, Recon, and pure white corn pleasure
Duration: 1 lap on the first patch that angles toward Winnemucca Lake, 1 lap on the "W" patch and 3 laps on skier's right of the "Saddle" patch between Roundtop and Sisters
Vertical: not sure
Beta: see pics or ask
Pics: MJ and Vets
Music: In order to keep with the Wedding Theme from my 7/13/07 Sisters TR, here is Adam Sandler's version of You Spin Me Round (Like A Record):
Or, if you are more traditional, here is the original version by Dead Or Alive:
Part One - the first of three patches, the patch that angles toward Winnemucca Lake.
There are times during the summer that this patch looks like a letter W (or a bat) from a distance. Here is a shot from August 20, 2004: http://www.loloville.com/DSCF0169.JPG
This past Sunday it wasn't the defined W it had been in the past. It also provided some interesting combination suncups (soft in the troughs with an icy crust on their ridges.)
After a run here we headed up to the saddle patch between Roundtop and Sisters hoping to find better snow. Stay tuned for Part Three - The Saddle Patch Between Roundtop and Sisters.

Part Three - The Saddle Patch Between Roundtop and Sisters
The "Saddle" patch provided some of the softest, smoothest, corn turns I felt so far this summer.

Thanks for the fashionable Mugatu style quote.
Also, welcome to the west.

powdork
The pics with the flowers in the background rock.
If you keep skiing the patches there enough, and scrape of all the dust layer, I bet the snow will last longer. Hell, if you ski it enough, you'll scrape off all the suncups. Keep up the good work.

Skiing in a bike helmet = so hot right now.
Actually not a bad idea....I bet it was much cooler than a skiing helmet.
Great Stoke! Thanks a lot.

MJ and I had a conversation about this right before we started hiking. My Giro 9 has a lot of vents, so it isn't too hot. MJ's bike helmet is cooler and a few grams lighter too.
Powdork, the flowers were really going off on the hike in and out.
I like your idea about making the snow last longer.
