Cooper Creek, WA
This was the first run I got on last July when I moved up here and it's been in good, wood free condition for awhile now. Super fun creek with a mixture of slides, eight foot ledge drops, and some boulder gardens.
The Cooper is located on the East side of the Cascades about 20 miles North of Roslyn, WA. (Useless trivia: Location of the fictional town in Norther Exposure) It also drains into the Cle Elum which is a classic IV/V gorge run.
I didn't take a lot of pics, but here's a few.

Nice. That looks like a sweet run. Does it drop into the Cle Elum near the China Gorge run?

This flows into the Cle Elum downstream of the China Gorge.

I see you've finally adjusted to Seattle :)
Nice river run. Greydon, Hop, BC-Flow and I biked the Cooper River trail about the same time - wonder if we passed by you? Stopped by Bricks to get a burger on the way home (the oldest operating saloon in Washington- useless trivia) - in Roslyn.

I had hiked up that trail one of the weekends I was out thataway and wondered if mtn biking was allowed on it. Good to know.
Sounds like you've boated in the past, we should get you out on the Sky sometime soon. Levels are dropping quickly into a pretty tame flow. Definitely good beginner material.
