Need more advice

alright, so after getting some feedback here about a K2 bike, I decided to look some more. More money should become available in the next week (love the tax refund) so I'm looking at some higher end bikes. The two I'm looking at are both at REI from Navaro.

So without further delay, here's the links:

Buzz King or the ponderosa

Either bike I go with I would get 20% off as well as another $200 off since I have my dividend check.

Right now I'm favoring the Buzz King, however any advice would be appreciated.

Go with the Buzz King...little burlier

Check the small print on the 20% off with dividend deal. Bikes are one of the items they occionally limit out on thier deals (along with sunglasses and electronics).

already checked that, the 20% off is valid for Navaro and K2 bikes. After getting feedback about the K2's, I'm going to shy away from them but I haven't heard anything about the Navaro's.

I don't know about current Haro, but in the past (early-mid 90s), they weren't known for making great frames. That there's no feedback on them is telling.

I don't know for sure, but I think that Navaro frames are mass produced in China or Taiwan- not that that's a bad thing, but there are better frames out there. On E-bay recently an Ibis Mojo in apparently great shape was selling for 600-700. Full bike, not just frame.

Get the Buzz King, it has flames.

I appreciate the feedback, now I know why I couldn't find any reviews on the frame from mtbr.com.

The problem I have with e-bay is I've been burned a few times by sellers. I've tried to shy away from it for a while because of that. Perhaps I will take some time and look what there is out there.

Seriously though, don't know much about Novarra frames, but those bikes seem spec'd pretty good.

If you don't want new, you might want to check out flykdog's Superlight. A good bike in its own right.
