solly 977 vs. 9-12
I have a pair of 9-12's mounted on my G4's they wiggle like crazy, I've checked the toe hight and re tightened the wings but still nothing. I have a pair of 977's on my explosives which I skiied this weekend and took a nasty fall(more on that to come) in short the binding did what it was supposed to, not only that but there was narry a wiggle all weekend. I have an extra pair of 977's mounted to a pair of rock skis, should I switch them to the G4s and sell the 9-12s?

I had the same problem with my 912s, wait a week and I'll meet you somewhere and give you the DR9s if ya need em, some fine ny microbrews in exchange.

Based on all the shop talk I've heard, the 977s kill the 912s. Based on my own experience with the 912s, that's no surprise.

Dump the 912s. Hardrider had nothing but problems with them and my 914s weren't much better. I've since switched to 916s (my Rossis rule too) and haven't looked back. The 916s are based on the old S900s as I recall. At the same DIN setting they're noticably better than my 914s. My connection to the ski is much more solid, they never prerelease, and the toe wings aren't endlessly loosening up. My guess is that the problems with the newer bindings are related either to that newfangled AFD and/or to the move to a single screw for adjusting the toe wings.
