I was running the other day and saw a CD laying on the side of the road, looked new. So I picked it up and took it home. No writing on the label but I googled some of the lyrics and found out it was a group called "Against Me".
Generally pissed off and cynical is how I would describe them...good music. :biggrin:
Anybody else know these guys?
Against me is from gainsville Fla. Good band. I've had a few of their albums over the years. Still think that 'Reinventing Axle Rose' is their best work although I haven't heard it all.
Good find though. Some teen probably threw it out the window cause they thought they had bought the new 'Rise Against' album.
I was a fan of them for awhile about all the way to As the Eternal Cowboy. After that they went kinda pussy and fizzled to a more kicked back not as edgy band. I haven't heard there new stuff so I can't really judge it. There best stuff IMHO is the Crime as forgiven by me EP and Reinventing Axl Rose Eternal Cowboy has some good stuff but it's a hit or miss for me.
I'd agree with this, although a lot of their stuff manages to somehow be hopeful at the same time. Good band though.Quote:
