Hey, this alyeska boy is heading out to colorado next week, stayin at keystone with the family. I think we've got the tix for the 3 mountains, keystone, vail and breck...but we're only like 5 min from keystone. so wheres the good snow and the good steeps?

Steeps? Right up the street at A-Basin.
everybody says to go to A-basin...so really..how far of a drive and what are lift tickets goin for?

only about 10 minute drive. prbly about 40 for a ticket but the passes for keystone should get you on the lift at abasin too (I think)...check out abasin website for coupons.Quote:

Bring your backcountry gear, and the Colorado crew will show you the goods. If no gear, A-basin is great for ice and bumps.
If you have your mind set on keystone, I'll make it easy for you:
You pay me the $64 and I'll kick you in the balls, then we'll call it a day. The mountain would be great if they had:
1. a decent base (have they ever been above 60"?)
2. a 3-4' dumper on a weekday
3. 5,000 less skier's invading the mountain each day
4. a steep run
Save yourself some money and frustration and head over to A-basin or Loveland.
there is some cool stuff at keystone if you know hwere to look
keystone has an outstanding park. you can also jib the dirt.
a-basin tickets are $36 for one day or $52 for a two day. if you are staying in keystone a-basin is a 7-10 minute drive.
your keystone tickets should get you up a-basin

If it's open 2nd chute at A-basin is a great run, my favorite at the Basin, of course it's closed right now and there might not be any snow left at all in CO by this time next week. We are High and Dry.Quote:

I would say Beaver Creek. Skied Vail last week..It was a slush pit. Went to beaver the next day. Snow was far better even in warmer weather. Tons of varied terrain too
