Widespread Panic on 4/20: tooting my own horn.

I get to go to the show for free. And I get soundcheck/backstage passes. Fo' free.

There was a poster design contest for the concert, and I kinda almost won. 96rockonline.com
First place dude gets the same stuff as me, but he also gets a copy of his poster signed by the band. Well jokes on them, cause I'm gonna bring a copy of mine to have them sign. Ha!

This is a first for me, and I am really stoked that they liked it. I realize many on this board aren't big on the jam bands, and thus aren't all that big on Widespread, but I am, and this makes my fucking month. Backstage with Panic on "earth day". I'm so stoked. Carry on.

Congrats, nice poster. I got to meet the WSP dudes a few years ago in Aspen, really nice, normal guys, JB even shared some of his scotch.
Don't forget to bring a camera, you can probably get the obligatory group shot with you and the band. If security is tight bring a disposable, just in case they make you toss it.

Nice work, you got a future! Repurpose it (remove / change the text) and see if you can ebay off a handful of signed copies. Might catch someone's eye, sure caught mine.

for those that care, the show was freaking great. i hadn't seen them since herring joined, and he just adds a whole new element. so good.

So stoked to see them tomorrow. I'm hoping they bring it strong. I've seen them a few times now (Macon, Vegoose) with Jimmy and it is a whole new level.
