how do you type in the little 2 after something
as in e=mc2
but little, and up in the air (squared)

in microsoft word

Insert -> Symbol and find it there.

or highlight, right click, edit font and choose "superscript"

In MS Word use superscript for raised text (E=mc2) and subscript for lowered text (H2O). They under Format, then Font. I don't know how to do it on this message board.
