camera related question ---->

sorry this isnt in the photo/video forum but I need a quick answer.


I have to shoot with a GL2 tonight and was wondering about white balancing. Im assuming the little lightbulb is for indoor tungsten lighting, the little sun is for outdoor, but I don't know what the little square with two triangles is for and I dont have the manual.

I don't even know what a GL2 is but on my Canon 1d it means custom white balance. You take a shot of a white card, select that shot to be used as the custom white balance and colors should be good.

That's it. Choose that option, hold up a white piece of paper, fill the viewfinder with it, and push the clickwheel.

this digital shit is weird to me.....ive taken tons of production classes and this is my first time ever shooting digital...only in boulder, only in boulder.
