Salomon 912 ti heel piece failure
So I lent a buddy of mine my Rossi scratch BC WRS with brand new salomon 912 ti's (made in '05, just mounted a couple of months ago) to go out to Steamboat. Well I just got a call that he landed some big air, landed switch, and one of the heel pieces ripped out of the track, destroying the toe piece at the same time. I haven't seen it yet, and maybe I'll post pics when I get the skis back. He says the track is intact, apparently the tabs that slide on the track are what failed. I already called REI where I bought them, and they have another set put aside.
Anyone have this happen to them or seen it happen before??
