I have been workin with the Betas for probably the past year... Not in any professional setting or anything but so far I thought pretty highly of it.. I'm very interested to try out the final version.. I'll let ya know if and when I get it loaded
What I'm really bummed out, is that even though the license is for two copies (ie. when you buy it, you can install it legally to two comps)... You can't have one Mac and one Windooza :cussing:.
I sent an enquary to them, and that was the reply...
Here's to hoping it's wrong...
And yes, I do know that DC++/BitTorrent/Etc. are... But it would be fun to have something "lawful" for a change (and since I still get everything with studen pricing, including my future MacBook Pro:rolleyes:)...
I'm super stoked, since I just got my new baby... Pentax K10D + Sigma 24-70/2.8 EX Macro :yourock: at a bargain price (local shop, made a deal I could not refuse... even came with the horsehead:p).
Installed.
Upgrade of DB took about 15-30min.
Currently letting it check locations and make sure all photos are were they're supposed to be.
Delete your old beta DB before you install it unless you wanna wait for it to convert them (takes forever).
Interface has little tweaks from the last beta.
Its very nice.
There are a lot of people in the digital audio world who buy the real software but install the crack. That way they don't have to worry about losing dongles or all the registration/activation/deactivation/upgrade crap, but they're still supporting the makers of the software.
It's ironic how copy protection really only penalizes legitimate users. The only counterexample I've found is software so obscure no one bothers to crack it.
I've been using it for 2 weeks after my Aunt convinced me to try.
After the second picture I edited, I was in love. I can do everything I used to do in PS except easier, faster, and with more control. The only thing I still need PS for is sequencing and layer masking. This software is so intuitive! That is a first for Adobe.
I do wish the copyright water mark could be adjusted to be less intrusive.
