I'm looking for a reputable shop....
I'm going to either be buying a new bike or new to me here soon...
any suggestions would be appreciated.

See the boyz at Gene Taylors in the Village. Also what used to be Pomeroy in Basaly was good, but I don't know anyone there, now. I know someone who bought a bike through Snowmass Sports, too Also, check the back of Mtn. Bike mag and other rags. I got a great deal on my Intense from a shop in South Lk. Tahoe through a mag. Good luck and have fun!
Ute City Cycles, theres one in Aspen and one in Carbondale. They have Kona and Yeti amongst others nd are good people who know what they are doing.
Gene Taylors in Snowmass do good work, but don't have much variety or stock on hand.
danks guys...
Thumbs DOWN for Basalt Bike and Ski.
Took my bike to get seals replaced.
- didn't have the proper tool, so I had to wait a week
- didn't fill the fork up with the correct amount of oil, so that it harshly topped out as I rode it out of the shop
- didn't test ride the bike before tellin me it was done and therefore didn't catch that it obviously was not done!
- had a mechanic that didn't know how to work on suspension, so I had to wait for another guy to come in
Still waiting for it to be fixed....
Update on Basalt Bike and Ski
The tech doesn't know what the problem is, so he is waiting for Marzocchi to call him back. I haven't heard from him in 4 days, so I call today. He tells me he will call Marzocchi and call me back either way. So, I call the shop again this afternoon and I am told he has left early for day and he won't be back until Sunday. Of course Marzocchi will be closed on Sunday, so he won't talk to them until Monday. FUCK THIS. I am going in there tomorrow, taking my bike, asking for a refund on labor, and will take it to someone that knows what they are doing.
