I'm a Breck JONG...never really been anywhere 'sep the brewery.
Anyway, got a place in breck for the weekend, and I'm looking to take the lady out for dinner....recommendations on something not expensive, but thats got flava and a cool atmosphere????

I just went to a place when I was there last summer that was AMAZING. Definitely pricey, but really nice. Might have been the Blue River Bistro or something. It was on a side street, fairly small, great wine list, excellent food. Somewhat new.
I can't remember the name of it, but there's a Swiss fondue restaurant on Main street (it's on the side of the street closest to the resort) that's pretty good. It's not super cheap (I think we ended up spending about $50 for two), but it's not crazy expensive either. The fondue was good, and the owner was really cool. You'd probably have to make reservations though.
Southridge, Blue River is on Main. They both are as good as it gets in Breck. Some times the Martini crowd bugs the shite out of me at BRB.Quote:

Hearthstone. A little spendy but totally worth it.
rasta pasta on main. Not expensive, tasty as could be and wall to wall reggae
If you are looking for something a little bit cozier, the Briar Rose is a good choice. Spendy, but the Elk Tenderloins are amazing.
If you wanna make your way over to Frisco, Ti Amos is really good. Great food, but a lil bit more of a family atmosphere than fancy pants formal type place.
As said, Blue River Bistro in Breck, and Ti Amo in Frisco.
Ti Amo is probably the best non-five-course resturaunt in the county. Get the strawberry chicken... i know it sounds funyn but its some of the best italian i've ever had. that dish won a bigtime award. Ti Amo is affordable too. Dinner shoul,d be about $20/person.
For breakfast and lunch, try La Flambee in River Run Village at Keystone. Outstanding Crepes (and not just breakfast/desert crepes) and the onyl place in the County that will give you a GOOD filling meal for $5-$6 (filled crepe and two powder sugared crepes with real fresh whipped cream (these are $0.99 ea))
There's this little pasta joint called Giampettrio's on Lincoln, right off of Main that has GREAT food. Not real high society, but great Italian in a cozy little joint with a cool atmosphere. It gets my thumbs up, but might not impress your ladyfriend.
Eric's, they have great pizza! Huge ones too, 4 of us split a 24" one.
