1080 gun boots
What's the deal with these? I tried some on, and they felt a bit soft, but I didn't really have them clamped down. For some reason I'm having a hard time finding any reviews or anything on them. They're last years i think (the orange ones).
Basically I'm just wondering what they're good for. Would they be substantial enough for me to charge big, steep lines? The guy said they're about the equivalent to the rossignols. Is this true?

They are soft. It depends on your wieght and style, I have a boot that soft for general screwing around skiing bumps and stuff. Weight >150 lb? Charging big lines on stiff skis? I'd look elsewhere.
When I skied more park, one thing I really liked about the previous 1080 boots is the soft elastomer foot bed in the shell. It sucked up so much energy on impacts.

they are a re badged Xwave 7 I think.
again soft, but if they fit well (1cm shell fit) should be fine

1080 (white and green i believe?) = xwave 7
gun (orange and blue) = pro model
the pro models are basically slightly softer race boots.
