For all of you windows users, watch out for the Netsky.C. virus. It is being spread via .ZIP attachments in email messages. I don't know what harm it causes.

In the last couple of hours I started getting e-mails at my yahoo account from unknown (but suspiciously snow-related) e-mail addresses with attachments and titles like "Warning" and "Information". I've been deleting them without looking at whether or not they're zip files. Same thing or something different?
We've been receiving them at work from people we know and don't know with weird attachments and short messages that are deceiving. The latest two were titled:
Why?
and
Declined.
So yeah, be cautious what you are opening, even if you know the sender because they may not have initially sent the email.
Everything I've seen so far is someone trying to bounce emails off 6 of our servers. Over 400 in the last hour alone.
There is also an update in the last hour from Norton. The
mydoom.32.f
AND
Netsky.c
...dat files need to be updated with TODAY'S patch (Err - if you're running Norton.)
They seem to be targeting Yahoo accounts in the US and another couple mail servers in the UK (I forget the name of the servers), so watch it if you're on Yahoo for a coupla days...

See ya there... btw last Saturday was pretty fun, but an odd day, with bluebird sun, windy, then snowing like mad for a while then back to sunny, then to super overcast.Quote:
