I figure I can find a local machine shop to fabricate them.

pm idris on modding the flexons, I believe he has done the walk mode thing on those.
idris has a huge thread on the flexon (f-one?) walk mod.
or hit up conundrum. he did a SUPER pimp job on some salomon + vibrams.
