Spring Break in Banff- TR with shitty pics
I was with a bunch of guys who'd never really done much skiing, and all these pics were taken with a disposable camera, but I'll try:
Sunday: Supposed to meet my friends in Speedy Creek at 10am, and its about a 2 hr drive when the roads are good. Set my alarm for 7. Mom at 8:15am: "Chris are you up yet?"
me: "Jesus I am now"
Throw everything in the car, luckily not forgetting anything, and we are off. High winds and blowing snow meant slow(er) driving, but I managed to keep all 4 wheels on the road for most of the trip. Get to Banff at about 5:30, and go see L7 for my bootfitting appointment at 6:30. Now, I found it a little strange that L7 prefers to do all his fitting naked, but I'm not in any position to question his methods.
Drinking starts at 8 with Pilsner and half/half rum&cokes. My friend Rob had already drank 15 beer during the day, and decided to drink a two-six of wheelchair juice (i.e. raspberry vodka). Get to the bar, and operation hit on everything that moves begins. No success. My friend Levi did make out with some questionable girls, and we think he either contracted sars or bird flu, but it did result in him getting an invitation back to the Banff springs. Get back to the condo, sleep till about 3, and wake up to Steve screaming. Apparently no one would give him the money to pay for the cab, so he put a $5 cab bill on his visa. (This was before him and Nathan wandered into our neighbour's condo). Much beaking ensued, completed with Rob throwing all of Nathan's shit off our balcony into the snow.
Monday: Wake up at 8am to Rob dry-heaving. Best alarm ever. Get up to Norquay around 9. Snow was hard and fast, and it was pretty icy by the afternoon. Went up the old double chair (which I think you should have to sign a waiver before getting on) and was treated to a healthy dose of icy moguls and rocks. None of us had ever been here before, so it was good to try it, and it would have been better with a bit more snow. We mainly lapped groomers all day, so I don't have any action shots, but here's a group shot:

Funny story from this day: while we were skiing, Mike, Levi, and Nathan went into town to rent skis. They were in an alley, and Levi started feeling sick, so he hopped out of his blazer to throw up (stomach flu, not alcohol). As he was puking, mike and nathan started tossing empty beer cans into the garbage. This whole scene was being viewed by two old ladies. Levi then proceeds to hop back in the drivers seat. Those old ladies must have a good impression of Saskatchewan folk......
Drinking started while watching The OC (wow what a good show), and then it was off to the bar. Within 5 minutes of getting to the bar, 3 bouncers came up to us and said: "If you guys don't settle down we'll have to throw you out of here." Tried to pick up some blonde girls, but with no success, mainly because I kept elbowing one of them in the breasts. It's not my fault that she kept getting in my way while I'm trying to throw bones. Steve tries unsuccessfully to pick up a cougar (who was only there to dance she says), and some older chick proceeded to grab my breasts- err, I mean my rock hard pecs on numerous occasions. In bed by 3.

What was this a test to see if I'd actually read this whole post. Listen you sasquatch toed flatland mutant you swore you wouldn't breathe a word about that. Just for that I'm not even going to bathe next time either.
