Dood drove 150 miles around road closures and through RIDICULOUS winds to help me get my busted sled out of the woods. Did all this for a promise to give a call once the sled is fixed to do some skiing, and cuz, “It’s way more fun than sitting at work.”

Nice one jonpierre, that is some good shit. I've know dudes in similar situations and fellow snowmobile/skiers always have bent over backward to help out a guy with a stranded sled. Its definitely a good piece of mind to have when you are wayyyyyyyyy back. Luckily so far, I haven't had to pull that card. One day though.......

Agreed that sledders are waaaay freaking nice people. I'll never forget beatering Kya's sled on top of Vail Pass and my face into the handlebars into the bargain. All alone on top of Black Lakes. I was crying in my wheaties that day. But some slednecks came and towed me out and were so sweet.
And if they ski/ride, well that's pretty much perfection. :smile:
JP, I think this gives you dibs on the sweet research that P4B has been doing off that way. Insanity is being pondered. :D

that was a fun adventure. i wouldn't want my shit sitting out in the bc for multiple days and then have to head off on a business trip. ARG! happy to help out, needed a reason to get out on the sled and out of the house. i'm gonna hold you to that promise cause when you get your ride fixed it's on!

i'm stoked on the 4stroke mtn lite. does everything i need, but it ain't no widetrack. i would be happy with more power, but for backcountry ski/board access and having fun this sled is where it's at. no major problems and i've got 462 miles of powder/mountain riding. love the 4 stroke sound, low pollution, power band and the sled gets a lot of looks. rides like a dirt bike

There's no point putting a $5k turbo on a $9k sled with 80hp to begin with, and a 14" track to begin with. For the same money, you could get a brand new REV 800 with a 159"x16x2.3 track, or an RT1000 with a 162", and still have a warranty, and some money left over.Quote:
