Dr Patrick Greis in SLC?
Anyone here ever hear of him or use him? I'm having some trouble with my knee after reconstruction in May and I need a good local Doc. He fellowed at Steadman Hawkins which is a good sign. Anyone know of him?

I have two very dear friends who are orthopods (one at the U, another w/the St. Marks group). Both specialize in upper extremity - for knees, they both recommended Greis.
I saw him myself, though he decided not to operate on either of my knees, since I'd been skiing OK on them for almost 20 years after the ACLs were strained/blown. That actually makes me think more highly of him, as he's more interested in doing the right thing medically than surgerizing anyone who comes through the door.

Thanks Tri, that's what I wanted to hear. Wish I didn't need a doc in the first place though.:nonono2:

a little late on this, but thought I should chime in anyway- Greis did my ACL surgery, I saw a different doc before him that I just wasn't happy with. Greis did an amazing job and was very very good and informative about everything. He works with athletes and skiers a lot and can help you make the best decisions possible for your situation. Plus after surgery I was sent home with a ROM machine that keeps your knee moving, did wonders getting my range of motion back, I had never heard of anyone else with that before. He is my knee doc for life now.
