Ski/Slednecks – What are you using for towing goods behind a sled?
i don't use it for behind the sled but the "jet sled" would work, also "otter" makes ones that are the same. each company has quite a few accessories, anything from tow bars, tonneau covers, seats, enclosures to sit in sled, metal skids to protect the sled better (plastic).
these sleds are two to three times thicker than a regular plastic sled. the smallest one, roughly 36" x 18" x 8" deep, are $25. they do make much larger ones. they also work well for towing your gear up a mtn, then lots of fun to sit in for the ride down.
The Trailboggan is $360, including shipping, at costco.com:

Or if you want to blow $2200 on the deeeee-luxe enclosed passenger version...

Well if you're towing enuff, a small aluminum bass boat works GREAT! It needs to be flat bottom. They track nice cuz of the runners in the bottom.
Keg, BBQ, everything.
Otherwise a plastic toboggan w/ some bungies to hold everything, dry bags/hefty bags. You'll want something like 2 pcs. of 3/4" sch80 pvc pipe about 5' long. Run them from the toboggan to the sled with them crossed, X, in the center, tied tight so it doesn't unX. Run your rope thru pipe and tie/clip to back of sled. That way it don't run under the sled when stopping, etc.
$2200 for a trailer? Might as well buy the passengers a good used sled.
Thanks folks! Dunno if I'm gunna go with the Otter or the Trailboggen.....the deeeeelux fuggin' thing is weird.
Check out sportsman's warehouse, they had some nice plastic ones for a pretty good price.
