7 months of great change
This was supposed to be 3 or 4 months of great change, but the last item took a while to finish.
In late April, Champ Junior II was born, and he's the greatest big little guy I ever met, in addition to his brother of course. Came out at 9lbs - 9 oz and is still keeping his place in the growth chart around percentile 97 or so. He never looked like one of those scrawny little newborns you see.

In June, I got a new job, in a great field for the Bay Area (CE, bridges, waterfront) and with tons of more potential than my old one. It's no skibum job or ski industry job, but the Bay Area is expensive, it's where we live, and I love the job and the company.
Today, way overdue, we finally closed on the house we're buying. It's way too expensive, but it feels good to own my own house where I can see my two boys growing up. And after all, Tahoe and/or Kirkwood is only about 3 hours away.
That's it, major life changes, and really good ones. Now if can just start snowing :the_finge

Congrats on the house. It must suck being three hours from Tahoe. I am three hours from the 1200 verticle Sugar mountain. You are lucky. I have to get on a plane or drive 3 days for good skiing. You eill enjoy watching your kids grow in that house and it will make many good memories.

congratulations Rune.
but you don't actually own your house. the bank does, and you pay them for the privelage to live there....plus interest! :fuckyou:
isn't life grand?

Way to be, Rune. Congrats.
My daughter was 8.13, my Son 9.6 -- I held a newborn the other day that barely weighed 6 pounds, and was amazed that they made kids that small.

Nice Rune! :) Congrats on the house... pretty exciting stuff!
Hopefully I'll relocate to the bay area next fall if things work out with my job/search & school aps. 3 hours to Tahoe is a lot nicer than 4.5 hours to Iceface.

Sweet! I hope the goodness continues to follow you & your fam.

Thanks for the nice words everybody.
Damn Tipp, you beat me in average baby size.
It's all pretty exciting. Haven't realized yet that any improvements I do to the house now are to my own good. Made a list of 25 "small things" I'd like to do/improve. Whew.
Hope everything works out for you TacomaLuv. It's a good place to live for sure.
