i just got mine 2 days ago. played with it for a few hours on friday , and took it out on sat. i like it. alot.
i thought it was very intuitive. and very quick to a burial, and isoloating and finding multiple burials is also easy and intuitive.
i liked my old m2 as well. trackers are pretty good, and pieps & barryvox make good stuff too.
my suggestion is to go with whatever works for you, and practice a ton with it.
I got my new D3 on Friday.
I have been studying the manual. I've played with it indoor. But, haven't gone outside with it yet. After I've worked with it a bit I'll post something.
Cheers,

I've used mine only a little bit so far. (And I have not yet tested the range.)
A very quick overview:
- Same housing as X1, which in turn is basically the F1 but w/o volume control.
- Harness design similar to Barryvox, DSP, and latest Tracker.
- Multiple-burial indicator (similar to Barryvox Opto 3000).
- Third antenna eliminates spikes/nulls for final pinpointing at <2m. (Can still suffer from spikes/nulls at >2m, although at that range, the directional indicators are still on, so can just follow them and ignore that temporary jump in the distance #.)
Overall, I like all of the above features very much, and feel it is a strong competitor to the Tracker in the idiot-proof/keep-it-simple class of beacons. But I wish it had five arrows instead of three (same complaint for X1), since sometimes it can jump around between different arrows (which could definitely confuse an experienced user in a panic situation) -- seems like if it had more arrows then even it jumped around, the range over which it was jumping would be lessened?
