Is there anyway to get “TR” included in the “titles” portion of search function (or better yet, be able to organize them by state, country……)?

We have the search engine set to ignore terms shorter than 4 characters because they chew up tons of server processing power. That was an Owens decision from a long time ago, and not something I'd be comfortable changing without doing a fair amount of research first. Sorry.
I know this horse has been flogged many times, but the aforementioned google search had me thinking that maybe you could index just the thread titles for "TR" in them?Quote:

Just to be clear, we (TGR) never jonged you, or anyone else for this idea. We still don't know exactly what we're going to do, but it probably won't just be a new trip reports forum. It's going to be a separate area for trip reports that is also linked to the forum so nothing changes for those who like it the way it currently be.Quote:

Well, now that you've gimped yourself up [again], you obviously have all kinds of time to get this worked out. Hop to it, man! It's not like we're getting to use these forums for free........errr. Sorry.
It's starting to work. "TR" is now an acceptable search term, and when I do a search on "TR" in thread titles, I get some results, but not enough. Maybe the search index needs to get rebuilt. I'll keep messing with it in my spare time.
