I'm going to replace my little used Burton Supermodel with a new snowboard - that I won't likely use much either. :rolleyes2 The bindings currently on the board are Burton Custom Freestyles.
For those of you who snowboard; generally speaking, would you think I will get more for the board and bindings if I sell them together or separately?
Thats iffy. I have sold many a boards on ebay and most of them had bindings mounted. I always gave the option however for someone to make an offer for just the board or just the bindings. When I did this, I could make up my mind what would be better. If I had a reserve of 300 on the combo and someone offered me 260-300 for the board alone I would certainly sell seperately. If they were trying to get the board for 200 alone, no way because I wouldn't make money.
There is always a grey area. Most people who would be buying equipment from eBay I would assume, most of the time, are looking for package style deals. At least that is the way it has worked for me in the past.
Hmmmm. Can't remember when Burton stopped making the Supermodel so I'm guessing it's more than a few years old, right? So the bindings probably are as well, I'm assuming. Your best bet would be to sell them together, but don't expect much $$ for 5 year-old or older gear.
