EXTENDED WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
Upper level low pressure over the region should maintain
showery precipitation Friday at low freezing levels.
Westerly mid level flow should also maintain a likely
convergence zone to affect the central Cascades west slopes
with enhanced precipitation from mainly Stevens to
Snoqualmie Passes. A brief break or marked decrease in
precipitation is expected Friday night and early Saturday
between disturbances. However another strong disturbance is
likely to move across the Pacific Northwest Saturday
afternoon and night. This should renew moderate to heavy
precipitation at further lowering freezing levels. A renewed
surface low is expected to approach Astoria Or. Saturday
night and move inland early Sunday. This should maintain the
heaviest precipitation over the Mt Hood area and southern
Washington Cascades Sunday at slightly rising but continued
low freezing levels.


EXTENDED FORECAST FOR FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
Light to occasionally moderate snow Friday heaviest along
the west slope areas. Decreasing light snow showers late
Friday through early Saturday. Increasing moderate to heavy
showers late Saturday. Moderate snow Sunday except heavy
over the Mt Hood area and southern Washington Cascades.
Decreasing light snow showers Sunday night.
