Mammoth - November 2006
November 2006
Well I have been up in Mammoth since Friday evening. I have snowboarded each day on the, what has become known as the “White Ribbon of Death.” The weather has very slowly turned much colder and is pretty windy tonight. There is just barely enough snow to ride the Broadway strip of mountain run. There are a few terrain park features spread throughout Broadway.
As far as the rest of Mammoth, Horseshoe Lake was very peaceful on Sunday afternoon. Convict Lake on Monday afternoon was also quite calm and just waiting to freeze over. Hiked up to Minaret Vista this afternoon. It was getting much windier out at the vista. High dark clouds were surround the Minarets.
Pictures of course have been updated on my webpage with shots from the Mountain and some action shots from the Unbound Park features...ENJOY !!!!

jesus man, congrats on riding, but why the hell are we getting so shafted this season? FACK! There's no way that we should be skiing a white ribbon of death in late November....

it was this way last year too and turned out to be a record breaker.
the NWS forecast shows slight chances of precipitation for the rest of the week. pray for snow.

It's an El Niño year, which means that there's a better than even chance Mammoth is gonna get pounded.
