First hand account of avie on 10420 from 11/18:
A group of 5 of us were skinning up theridge, myself and one other were up on the ridge while the other 3 were skinning up on the side of a small bowl in the trees. A very loud crack started fom the ridge line and travelled down the slope, fracturing the bowl at a depth of 18-24 inches and about 100 feet wide. I personally felt a collapse of a bout 6 inches while on the ridge. A shooting crack went into the trees and followed our skin track.
We intentionally triggered a similar slide just to the east of the above.
Bottom line is be careful out there. The shallow pack is no bueno for just the lack of coverage.
