Detuning tips and tails. Deburing BEFORE tuning. That is all. Next question.
Gummie bears get stuck in my teeth. But once I ate a frozen old one that was hard like stone.
Hard for detuning. Soft for deburring. Debur before detuning.
deburring after sharpening.
i use a file to detune tip and tail.
I used a gummi stone to clearance side seals the last time I built up a rotary engine for an RX-7. Worked like a charm.
Deburring and also I'll run it down the entire edge lightly at a 45 degree angle to take care of the little burr that forms when you file a bunch.
I also use it in the shower on my ashy elbows.
Oh wait.
That's my pumice stone.
When the gummi bears break a moral code, and we have to put them in stocks.
If you're using it AFTER sharpening, you're doing something wrong. A good file and a diamond stone will give a perfectly smooth polished and scary sharp edge.
Using it to debur before sharpening is a good idea, your files and stone will lasta lot longer.
Gummi Gummi...
teeth whitening
I find it is the best for removing rust. I use my diamond stone for everything else (deburring / detuning).
I detune my skis by skiing in the parking lot.
then switch, into the road.
deburring.
Why would you de-tune your skis? You just Fine Tuned them.
De-tune the front and back few inches so they're not to catchy and hooky. Sports Authority forgot to detune 1 time on me...not a pleasant experience.
