is the step up from a 179 seth to a 189 that big?
does the 189 ski short? Its also a little stiffer right?
im guessing its not a huge difference, especially paired with a forward mount (+1 to +4 mount), but i have no idea thats why im asking.
if im not mistaken some people rock both in their quivers

I know that the 89 is quite a bit stiffer
I also heard, and im am not sure if it is true, that k2 measures the ski from the tip to the end of the surface that contacts the snow, as opposed to tip to tail. If that is true it might ski longer than a Twin tip of a similar length

They definitely don't ski short for the size like alot of twins, measured mine tip-tail and came up with 193 so def. not small. Yeah stiffer, but they soften up after a few big hits.
Beware of mounting these really forward +4/+5ish. While it makes them really nimble when skiing elevator shafts, they dive like dogshit on normal pitches. +3.5 is probably good if you are not skiing AK predominantly.
Personally I'd get some 9thward 187s they are a little floatier and still solid as shit.
