I had assumed sometime around now, but just saw a forecast for Rutland that had highs in the fifties next week, so I doubt they'll make snow (my understanding is that they don't start now until they think they can stay open top to bottom).

I'm guessing Killington will be mid-November, dammit.
I used to count on having skied there by mid-October.

I've heard rumors of killington starting the guns Sunday, their budgeted opening is Nov 5th, so that would be the earliest I could see them opening. If not then I would expect that they're going to be open Vets day weekend as usual

Me too! I've been looking for cheap flights from Philly for the past 2 weeks. I really want to head out next weekend. Cheapest flights seems to be around $200 round trip. I would need some super-cool maggot dudes to hook up with in Denver though and a place to crash...Quote:
