Anyone use L-Glutamine?
A friend of mine lost about 40 pounds to get in shape, and now going on to strength training. He has been using a suplement called L-Glutamine. It is a substance naturally found in the body, but can be reduced by up to 50% after working out.
Has anyone used this while working out, or while skiing and can elaborate on the effects they saw?
Thanks

Hi,
it does improve cognition and is used with B 6 to treat ADHD and with Zink.It may give you a "flush" as with Vitamin B 9.
I made only the best experiences with it and took it very often and for prolonged periods of time as my ma gave me any brain boosters during school. I think it may improve the immunue system as most cognitive enhacers do.Ask my ma at dr.s.franzt-online.de for advice if you want.I can tell you you should never self medicate without a docs supervision anything at all I think .
Sincerly,

it's a great supplement and you will definitely notice that your recovery times decrease and your muslces heal faster, but it's very impotant WHEN you take it - it works best right after your workout.
I have been taking this for years after workouts, and if I'm traveling and don't take it, I definitely notice the difference. You will get decent strength increases but not necessarily size increases.
edit: also, this supplement is not recommended for people with cancer because you are basically flooding your body with the building blocks that help all cells to grow, including cancer.
