anyone ever used it for core shot repair? I found a pair of bandit xxx 195cm at the recylcing center with multiple core shots. Im doing an expirement using liquid nails to fill the gouges with a thin p-tex layer to finish. I plan on issuing these boards an early season beating and will update on how well the liquid nails repair holds up.

I used it rebuild a CRUSHED sidewall on a buddy's ski. He actually got the skis for free because they were so fucked up. No shop would even attempt a repair.
I had to dig out a bunch of splintered wood and fiberglass, then I filled in the void with liquid nails. I used a metal scraper with grease on it to create a boundary for the sidewall. When everything was cured, I screwed in a new edge section, epoxied down a new chunk of base and he used those skis for 2 seasons like that.
Liquid nails is some serious shit.
I'm curious to the benefit? Sidewalls, I can see but with core shots I've had such good luck with the Tognar base weld stuff holding that I can't see using a substitute. About the same cost as a tube of liquid nails too. Both are a bugger to work with though. That liquid nails stuff does not come out of clothing etc. either. Get a little on your hair and you can plan on loosing it. I've got some on a pair of insulated coveralls on the knees that's been there for several years. Makes a right nice patch on some worn out knees. :)
one of the core shots is super deep and long. looks like someone landed on top of a pointy rock and rode it out. I have a couple of leftover tubes of liquid nails from a deck project, so I figured Id put it to some use.Quote:
