Lawyer mags: lease question
Since someone here knows something about everything:
Lease in question reads that either party can terminate the agreement with “one full month’s prior notice in writing”.
Question is: Is one month necessarily the 1st to the 1st or is it any 31 day period such as 15th to 15th? Also, the lease agreement began on the 1st of the month and is specifically a month to month lease for a period of 6 months.
In this case the landlord (not me) wants to get out and raise the rent ASAP but isn't sure if he has to wait until Nov 1st thus not freeing up the unit until Dec 1st.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
