yeah,........ wow!!!!!!
yeah cool ad.
Axel would like to shoot dope in one of those cars.
ha, I'm going to see "guns n roses" in a couple weeks.. should be funny
Sweet a free guitar! Just have to spend a few grand on a car!
Shit, Axel is a big star - even though he got ass beat by Ralph Lauren!
Nice looking guitar. Unfortunately the talent to play is not included.
Saw that commercial last night as well. I thought it was a rather strange celebrity endorsement.
Lets see, they have had the VW Trek w/ bike rack, VW K2 with ski rack, now the VW Slash with cigerette compartment, jim beam storage, amp stack and a top hat holder. Pure marketing genius!
On a side note, I live in Axls hometown. Woo Hoo.
He's an ass.
Maybe if it came with one of these:

IMHO, Slash is very good. Not amazing but he can easily hold his own in that style of playing.
I thought the commercial was neat....esp compared to most crap on TV.
I've been rockin' Appetite for Destruction since I read this thread earlier. Damn GnR was an amazing act, truly an amazing thing that these social fuck-ups came together and made some of the best true rock music of our generation.
GnR in whatever reincarnation that Axl tries will never be more than a cover band with a truly talented singer at the lead.
G'N'R.......one of the most overrated and overhyped bands...ever.
Interesting ad. The Mrs and I were commenting last night on what a small demographic it seems to appeal to. My guess is that anyone over about 40 was not a GnR fan and that anyone under about 25 wouldn't have been either. Then you take out the people who are the right age but just didn't follow GnR enough to care about Slash 10 years later (or whateve it has been) and I just don't see it appealing to that many people compared to say the number of people who want a bike rack or a ski rack with their VW.
Just my opinion. Flame away...
