Am I stupid to be thinking about heading up on sunday?

It was planned before the snow started falling. The last time I was up there was the last weekend in August, and it was pretty good. I assume the bond between new snow and summer snow is pretty weak. Will it melt off or stabilize by Sunday? Is there really that much more snow on the way? Where should I look to get some decent skiing this Sunday?

I'm usually not into skiing the first snow of the season because I like my body the way it is, not broken.
