Observations from Europe

A few notes from my most recent trip abroad:

Sausage really isn't that popular in Poland.

Speedos and capris excepting, Europeans dress much better than Americans.

Even if the road shows only one lane, there really are two.

Sidewalks are fair game for parking.

Tobacco companies aren't about to perish any time soon.

Coffee isn't meant "to go."

The best food is in the small villages off the map in the unlikely-looking restaurants.

Eastern Europe isn't so much stuck in the past as it is desperate for the future.

Tripe isn't so bad.

The fashion sins I see everyday on the streets of Boston/Cambridge send shivers down my spine ...

Nobody gets their panties in a bunch about work.

Formality is a great excuse for getting absolutely nothing done in business.

Drinking is encouraged, and is a great way to kill time.

American chicks are easy if they're getting continually harrassed by creepy Euro dudes (which is basically always).

Stereotypes and rash generalizations can be fun!

Tripe isn't so bad? My god man, your taste buds must have diminished capacity due to too much fast food...

Quite horrible stuff if you ask me.

You've never been to Monterrey Park, CA.

One other refeshing note: in two weeks of visiting northern and southern Poland, I saw maybe a dozen or so truly fat people. I can see that many over here in about two minutes.

Do these jeans make my butt look big?

Well, if all they serve is tripe...

Germans wouldn't know a green vegetable if it sprouted from their ass.

Canned tuna and corn are more common pizza toppings in Rome than pepperoni.

Sodas are more expensive than beer (not a bad thing), and ice is considered a privilege.

There is a reason that not even Italians will drink Italian beer.

Dare I ask....the excuse for taking two weeks in Poland? And please tell me it was to brush up on your Polish jokes.
