binding mount question.
I am currently avoiding painting the house by mounting up my wifes AT rig. The problem is that there is hole overlap. The overlap can be avoided by moving the bindings forward 1cm or back 1.2 cm. I want to get her more over the front of her skis so I'm leaning toward mounting ahead 1cm. I'm hoping this won't throw her off too bad though. FYI- bindings are Fritchis on some 105mm waisted Blizzard's, so it is deffinately a soft snow set up. Any help before the butchering begins is appreciated. Cheers.

Are you using the recommended mount mark at either boot toe or midsole? Either way, for awhile ski comapnies were making women's skis just like the men's (sometimes softer) and giving the ski a mounting point a cm or so ahead of the men's mount line and them painting them with a more feminine top sheet. The reasoning was women typically have a lower center of gravity than men so they needed to be a little further forward on the ski to initiate turns. Then, ski companies "got it" and actually made women's specific skis from the ground up which meant a different core, etc. but the truth is, some women rip on guys skis and out ski women's models.
The problem your throwing out there is that it's a bc powder setup and people sometimes like to mount those back some.
I'm rambling now. If it didn't help, at least you can take away from this that women have a lower center of gravity except for those with giant tahs and then you have a multitute of mounting options.

I would go forward. A ski like that has a bunch of tip by default, unlike say a Pocket Rocket. I don't think you'll have any tip dive issues. Conundrums right about ladies marks being forward. Lower center of gravity is a nice way of saying "big fat ass". If you go back you run the risk of her having a ski that is way to hard to control. You want her forward so she can manuever well in tight spots. You could even go less forward perhaps. If that ski has a wood core, you only need one hole width clearance from the old ones. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Mounting 1cm forward.
