Rev- Huntin with Paco?
Sooooo How'd it go with the Pacster on his first hunt?
Things are done here (thank god) for the season now I can worry about skiing. Unfortunately, Sue got a big ass slice on his leg (the webby deal between the tummy and rear leg sliced right on the crease 6"+) a week ago sunday and was out of commission for closing weekend, plus it was 60*F so we went disc golfin instead (something that I'm way better at than huntin!)

Hey LB,
Took Paco out that sunday, only to get skunked. Paco was going insane not being able to retrieve the decoys and finally had a blast when it was time to bring them in. Even though I probably shouldn't have let him, he systematically swam to each decoy (farthest first), brought it to shore, then put them all in a pile. It was pretty funny to see how stoked he was at the end. He also did his best to kill us in the canoe. Each time a trout darted in the stream, he'd jerk to the side, rocking the thing a bit too much.
So no ducks this season for the little man. But don't worry because there are plenty of birds for him at boot camp!
Sorry to hear about Sue--sounds a bit injury prone? ;) I'm sure you'll get him dialed over the off season, right?

Sorry you guys got skunked, dems the breaks. That's funny about him picking up the decoys, sue usually leaves em alone but if I toss them to shore and someone's there he will wade out and bring them to whoever's on the shore :) I think that as long as he ignores them when ducks are on the water you've got no problems.
Yes, he is definetly injury prone, he gets that from me I'm afraid :(
my wife thinks that he got bit by our friends psyco dog but I'm about 95% sure it was some barbed wire.
I hope to get him pretty dialed over the summer, I found a place that sells pigeons here in town and will give them 1 more try but the first batch SUCKED. Sue actually caught one (with me holding his leash no less) and would've caught a second had I not caught him in time, damn. Oh well...
