yeah it looks like it's just right pointbreak after right pointbreak down there. like 15 or so.
hopefully place won't get too overcrowded fast. it's still mexico. lots of waves to be had in mexico.

Fucking insane final! Three barrel ride by TK. 6-8 foot air by AI. Watched it all live all day. Sick! I still can't believe some of the relaxed long ass floaters AI did during his heats. Wow! I wasn't rooting for AI but he definetly deserved the win. Good job AI and it was so good to see a power surfer/tube rider like TK in the finals.
yeah that air was friggin huge. prolly biggest ever in a comp. hey ghee did you see the other days. it was dredging in rd 1. wardo and crew getting like 5 barrels per wave.
GP - to give you a belated answer from the other thread on DMJ's over trestles/blacks on a south
here's a few pics from a late season southy in sept a couple years back. DMJ's never gets crowded cause you gotta have military stickers/id to get in.
after I surfed it for 5 days straight like these pics, i go there as much as i can - hoping to one day score again.....

Looks fun. The freakin' military should have special surf passes to access breaks at their bases. Looks like a fun beach break.
Edit: No I didn't get to watch any heats before yesterday. Wish I coulda seen the earlier heats with bigger waves but I had to work (no internet on the jobsite).

oh yeah all my going there paid off the last few days (fri + sat). overhead - hardly anyone out and some nice peaks coming in. It actually rained down there for about 10 mins this morning.
