Q:What do you do when the hill is all wacked, packed and used up? A: Go cat skiing!
The snow here is pretty well used and the rainline is at about 1800 meters. Below it it is either ice or the most miserable raincrust I ever had the misfortune of skiing , survival dial was on it's highest setting:eek:
So yesterday Mrs. Freeheels and myself deciced to go cat skiing with Fernie Wilderness Adventures. It was awesome, the pow wasn't really deep but it was all untracked and smooth a baby's backside.
Glade skiing was nothing short of excellent!
Here are some pics...now remember i'm not a photographer but you'll get the idea. My wife missed the best shot of the day, fumbling with the camera, I dropped a small rock band ( maybe 10 ' or so, and landed it. usually when I try that it's headplant city....but this time it all came together for me). Oh well. It was a great day!

This was my second time skiing with these guys and it was fantastic. There are no big alpine bowls but the tree skiing is second to none. I highly reccomend these guys.
