Rollins pass not quite ready yet....but close

So, me and seebass went up yesterday to try and hit up the stuff off of rollins pass....looks like we found the last bit of snow about 9 miles in the road from Winter Park. Pretty sure this is the last part of the road with enough shade to keep the road covered......


anyway, just thought some people would like to know before heading up there....

we ALMOST made it over this big pile, but I got within an inch of being high-centered and decided we should bail before we got fucked....

there is one more section of shallow snow about 75 feet long, then the road looks to be clear to the top...should be ready by this weekend or early next week....anyone game for this weekend or next tuesday?

Did you use your diff lock or some boards? Looks do-able, especially with some speed.

used difflock with speed, front wheels sank down all the way though and I didnt have any boards.....with boards it would have been cake...


edit to add: my truck likes pow more than spring snow. Early season we drove nearly to the summit of keystone mountain with snow almost touching the mirrors.....
