Music needed

Okay, I see some of you have some pretty sweet guitars and stuff, but can you guys PLAY??? I need some tunes for Normalcy (the cancer doc), and since Lars from Metallica doesn't hang out at my office when he's in town, I can't afford to license whatever music you suggest I put in the film. So far I've recieved a CD from fiddler (for some reason, it was all eurotrash synth-pop), and not much else. PM me and I'll send you my mailing address.

Bands I'd like to use, so if you count any of these among your influence (you rip them off), the better: RHCP's circa Mother's Milk, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, late 60's/early 70's Stones, Janes Addiction, Black Sabbath, the Replacements, Pixies, New Riders of the Puple Sage, Beck, Dinosaur Jr., Fatboy Slim, and many more.

The music festival starts here this weekend Nils. I'm going to be hitting bands up for the their CD's. I should get us quite a few. Is there a special release form I need to have them sign?

No need for a release, but make sure you have contact info. If there's something I want to use, I will need a release. Fuck it, I'll make up a release and send it to you.

Oh, and if you have no musical talent, but have freinds in bands, ask them to help out.

I just got some nice music from Phontaine for $70/song for three songs total. They were sympathetic with my begging.:smile: I checked into stuff like Thievery Corp, etc, and those folks wanted $1000/song and those rights were only for festival submission. Ouch! Can't afford that.

So same thing goes for me, I'm on the hunt for affordable music.

I haven't really practiced with my band in a while, but we have one somewhat decently recorded song on our half done website you might like. www.tenflatband.com
