Holysmokes. Some nice shots there from your buddy Pat.
Can't wait!
-
that place looks absolutely sick. i really like that first pic
-
Seriously. Wow wow wow. I NEED to get to Whistler at some point.
-
that blue sky at the top sure turned dark when you were starting the descent. had to hustle I bet.
-
Damn Lee, that makes me want get back on a bike no matter how bad it hurts my knees. Thanks! & nice camera work too.

CN
That trail punished us on saturday for over 6 hrs. Unbelieveable how little coasting there is for the whole ride. Lots of deadfall too.
I don't recommend braking your freehub at the 3hr mark - makes it extra punishing! Oh well, now I have an excuse to put a King on the Heckler.
see you on the trails!
-
that first pic is $$$$$$$$.
i gotta get up there.
-
hell yeah! bring on the bike TRs!

Numfortably Clumb
Me and a buddy did Comfortably Numb, but in reverse (starting at lost lake). The climb up is a bit shorter, timewise, but there are a few sections where hiking is required. It was surprisingly rideable on the way up. Timewise, the downhill is longer when you go this way.
I would suggest riding out via Young Lust, rather than Comfortably Numb at the end. The young lust descent is more fun.
The best part is that you can start later in the afternoon, as you don't need as much light to ride the valley trail back into town.
Great ride, either way.

Awesome pics! Looks like a pretty sweet trail, especially when it's dry! Maybe we should have a whistler mini in the summer

Totally agree - done it both ways and its actually quite fast the way you recommended.
I've ridden from Village Parking Lot - Cut yer bars - valley trail - trails from alpine meadows rec centre to heli lot - then Anal Intruder - Shit Happens backwards - Section 102 - Kill Me Thrill Me - then Comfortably Numb back to Village Parking lot.
It's a hell of a long route though and shouldn't be attempted when its warm. Took about 7 hours and about 1500m of climbing and we were very bagged.

Great shots. It's good to see some of BC's riding that isn't entirely stunt/huck oriented. What beautiful landscape...
