I just picked up an 8'-2" mini long board over the weekend. Unfortunately, budget restrictions forced me to go with a machine shaped board made in Thailand.
Does anybody know anything about the brand "Blue". Best I can find is that it is made by a company called USI - Universal Surf Industries.

im sure mr vince is kidding about the boys. sort of.
but he also makes a good point.
1. you would be better off on a long-board.
2. suggest you take the pop-out to the gararge and trash it up a bit
and let it sit out in the sun awile before you bring in to the beach.
3. have fun
I agree with vince too. I have 2 other short boards made by local/known shapers already and I would have much rather bought another hand made board but didn't have the cash. I wanted something long enough to have some fun on those 2' summer days. After checking several shops for used boards without any luck, I had to decide between the new popout and a new hand shaped board. The difference in price was over $300 and I couldn't justify that for a board that is only going to be used a dozen times a year. I was just asking if anyone else has had any experience with these boards.
